By Braylon’s Mom, Ashley:
My child, Braylon, is very outgoing, and he enjoys learning new things. He loves math and spelling. He has mastered his multiplication and his reading skills have increased. Braylon is on the honor roll and will be promoted to the 3rd Grade.
A quality education is very important, and I continue to stress the importance of not just a high school diploma but the value of a college degree. The public schools in my area are not passing per the yearly school grades reported, and that’s why I applied for a scholarship through the Louisiana Scholarship Program. This scholarship has made a big difference in our lives because without this scholarship, I would not be able to send Braylon to Redemptorist St. Gerard Catholic School. Now I have the opportunity to provide my son with a quality education and religious experience. As a single mother, I am honored my son has the opportunity to advance. Education is the key to success.
“I like that the teachers and staff develop a professional relationship with the parents and engage them to make sure each child succeeds.”
I chose Redemptorist St. Gerard Catholic School because of the small classes and access to teachers. The first thing I like about Redemptorist St. Gerard Catholic School is the teacher to student ratio. The classes are small so the teacher makes sure Braylon gives one hundred percent of his ability. The second thing I like is that I have access to his teacher via Dojo for questions/concerns. Finally, I like that the teachers and staff develop a professional relationship with the parents and engage them to make sure each child succeeds.
“School Choice allows students the opportunity to excel and not get left behind.”
School Choice gives me the opportunity to be involved in my child’s education. Without the Louisiana Scholarship Program, I would not be able to provide my son with a quality education, and Braylon could possibly be in an overcrowded classroom. School Choice allows students the opportunity to excel and not get left behind. Thank you Louisiana Scholarship Program for helping me develop a smart, educated, young man.
