Daniel is very shy and soft-spoken. At times it is very difficult for him to get his message across due to the educational challenges he faces. It is sometimes hard for him to grasp a lesson and understand concepts.
I chose this school for Daniel because the type of learning environment was perfect for him and all of our children. It’s a different way of learning and understanding and after meeting the staff we fell in love with the environment, the type of education, and the staff. The kids also became very close to the teachers which was something I had not seen in any other school prior. This was an extremely big win for us; not just for us as parents but also for them as students.
They have learned to love going to school because of the environment and the different ways of teaching. They have become extremely independent and self-reliant but have learned to ask for help when needed.
“I absolutely believe more families should have the same privilege I’ve had in exercising school choice because I believe everyone should be able to decide what type of education is best suited to their children.”
I absolutely believe more families should have the same privilege I’ve had in exercising school choice because I believe everyone should be able to decide what type of education is best suited to their children. Not all children learn the same and they shouldn’t be forced to. All children learn differently and they all deserve that special one-on-one attention when needed.
School choice means being able to match my children to the education that fits their level, and a way of learning that is adaptable to their needs. It’s not having to force them to learn in only one way regardless of whether that is something they are able to understand – they should have a voice too.
