Having my child attend a local charter school such as Burke Basic School in Mesa, Arizona has been the best choice I’ve made in regards to my child’s education. When I made the decision of placing my child in a charter school versus a public school, it really came down to the kind of education I believed my child could best receive. Ultimately, I decided that a charter school was right for him because I knew that he would receive attentive care, passionate teachers and a supportive environment. When I placed my boy in the charter school, he was welcomed and treated equally to his peers, without any judgment towards our family’s socioeconomic status.
“Income should never be a determining or limiting factor when it comes to choosing your child’s school and their education.”
I truly believe that all families should have the right to choose what they believe is best for their child’s education, regardless of income. As a working mother, I often have to make sacrifices, and that can mean choosing a school due to better transportation services or the kind of support I receive from the school’s administration. Income should never be a determining or limiting factor when it comes to choosing your child’s school and their education.
