Tyler is thirteen and he has struggled with school since kindergarten. He has a hard time sitting still and processing information. Elementary school was always difficult for him.
After struggling for seven years, we made the move to Painted Desert Montessori. The teachers have gone above and beyond to ensure Tyler understands the information and they have given him a way to do school in a manner that works for his busy mind. The school and the teachers have been flexible with his learning styles and support our family in so many ways. Even during this year of online learning, they make us feel connected, like family.
School choice has made a difference in my child and family because although the ability to choose Painted Desert came so late for us, we are so thankful for them and the flexible learning they have provided.

This is not just a school for my child with ADHD, this is a school for all children who need an opportunity to learn in a non-traditional environment. Every family should have the ability to choose the right learning environment for their child to be successful.
School choice means having the opportunity to choose an environment that works with me to help my child be successful. That is everything to us. Painted Desert has afforded Tyler an opportunity to experience smaller class sizes, one on one learning, and alternate teaching styles. His teachers have gone above and beyond to help him adjust.
