I attended a public school from kindergarten to the fifth grade. For my sixth year, my mom decided to switch me to a charter school. I needed more one-on-one time because of my special needs. I would have never made it this far without all the extra help and support I have received at my charter school.
Unfortunately, the public school I attended did not have the tools to help adhere to my IEP. The tools I needed to learn were not even within their budget, and I was being left behind. I am forever grateful to my mom for finding a new path and ultimately finding this school.

First of all, children of any age should never be limited in education by money. The school system is an example of why I believe a lot of lower-income children can never get out of their low-class situation.
These kids do not understand why they do not get the same opportunities as other kids from higher income brackets. How can a child become someone successful when they don’t even get the opportunity to get out into a world of opportunities? Unless someone passes out opportunity regardless of income level lower-income children will be left behind.
