PROGRAM — Opportunity Scholarship Program

My name is Adriana Higareda and I am the mother of two children: Cristian and Ahuany. Ahuany is in first grade and Cristian has just entered kindergarten.

My children attend a private school and I really like this school. When I found out that there were scholarships available to transfer my son to a private school, I applied for it immediately, because I wanted something better for Ahuany. There were too many children in his public school and the teachers weren’t paying much attention to him. Now, I feel that my child receives the attention he needs.

The scholarship has helped us so much! In a short time, since he entered Mountain View Christian School, Ahuany has learned a lot. He already knows how to write his name! He says to me: ‘Mommy, I don’t want to miss school.’ I’ve seen how much this school has helped him, and we can thank the Opportunity Scholarship for that.

My son’s enthusiasm is so contagious that his little brother, Cristian, asked me to take him to Ahuany’s school. I can see that my children really want to study. I think it is important that there is continuity in this program, so that the children can always continue to attend the same school. That helps them a lot to have security. At the same time, I see the difference of having teachers who pay much more attention to the students.
