AFC Celebrates Resounding Election Night Wins for School Choice

The American Federation for Children (AFC) and its political affiliates are thrilled to announce a resounding victory for education freedom in the general election. School choice is coming to every state in America after voters up and down the ballot stood for education freedom.

Across the 14 states AFC affiliates engaged in, voters made their voices heard by supporting candidates who champion educational freedom and rejecting those who do not. These victories continue a monumental shift toward a future where all American families have the power to choose the best educational path for their children.

Statement from Tommy Schultz, CEO, American Federation for Children:

“Election night marks another seismic shift in K-12 education politics. Despite countless union dollars and conventional “wisdom” suggesting otherwise, education freedom is a winning issue for candidates. Parents and families have long demanded education freedom, and Election night results confirm that they are winning. We look forward to working with the new wave of state and federal school choice champions to expand these opportunities for every child, regardless of ZIP code or family income.”

Highlights:

In the general election, AFC’s political affiliates spent more than $4.3 million in 74 legislative races across 14 states.

This investment follows an incredibly successful 2024 primary cycle, in which AFC’s political affiliates spent more than $9.5 million in 107 legislative races across 15 states,  including ousting two-thirds of targeted anti-school choice incumbents.
