I just graduated from Atonement Lutheran School and will be attending Wisconsin Lutheran High School in the fall as an incoming freshman. I am from Milwaukee, WI. I currently play AAU basketball with the Bridgewater Elite girls basketball program.
My father is from Milwaukee, and my mother is from Chicago, IL. We currently reside in Milwaukee. I have five siblings. I have attended Atonement Lutheran School since kindergarten. I can remember it as sometimes being hard and sometimes being fun. I appreciate the relationships I’ve built over time with other students and teachers.
I am attending a private school because of the strong academic performance and the Christian-based education it allows. The Christian-based education and strong academics offered are what make Atonement Lutheran School unique. The school has allowed me to grow academically and spiritually.
“I come from a family that emphasizes the importance of not just going to college, but taking advantage of the opportunities that a strong academic, athletic, and spiritual background will afford me.”
The classes and tests prepare me for the next grade level which challenges me. I feel this puts me at more of an advantage then traditional classes at the same grade level. This is important because the type of education I receive determines my success in high school and college. I come from a family that emphasizes the importance of not just going to college, but taking advantage of the opportunities that a strong academic, athletic, and spiritual background will afford me.

The choice program provided me the opportunity to obtain a quality education from a private school. I plan to attend Wisconsin Lutheran High School in the fall and participate in basketball and track. Upon completion of high school, I plan to attend an HBCU with future aspirations of playing in the WNBA.
I believe my education will prepare me for my future. I think other kids should have the opportunity to attend a private school like Atonement because not only did Atonement challenge me academically, it also allowed me to grow spiritually.
