I attended St. Marcus Lutheran school. One thing that made it special was that we went on trips outside of Wisconsin. We went to St. Louis, South Dakota, and on a trip throughout the South. Now I go to Wisconsin Lutheran High School.
My mom wanted me to go to private school so I could receive a better education, get into a good college, and make a future for myself. A good future.
I think others should have school choice because kids should be able to go to a good school even if they don’t have the finances to pay for tuition. They deserve a good future and need a good education to succeed in life.
Some kids don’t have the opportunity to go to a good high school or elementary school. They might still succeed, but they aren’t going to go as far as someone who received a better education.
When I finish high school, I want to go to Spelman or another HBCU. I’ve been in Wisconsin my entire life. I want to experience the world beyond Wisconsin. Eventually, I want to be a lawyer. I want to speak up for people who are treated unfairly.
