I grew up here in Oklahoma. I moved from Mexico when I was five and started school.
In the beginning, school was difficult because I could not communicate well with my peers and teachers. I struggled to communicate and could not tell them my needs or wants.
Eventually, I learned, and my journey brought me to Christo Rey. This school is beyond amazing, and I realize that not many others have this sort of opportunity. I think it’s crucial that other kids have the chance to receive a high-quality education in an environment that supports their faith.
After high school, with the education I’ve received, I’d like to reach into the science fields, perhaps forensic or medical science. I want to be the first person in my family to graduate college, and I know that’s possible because of my education.
