Since I knew my sister was involved in School Choice in Arizona, I felt passionate about it and wonder why Texas didn’t have it. It would have been a game changer in the education of my children who had no choice but to go to the school assigned by our zip code, even we liked it or not. I saw how these programs where taking place nationwide and families felt happy, children were not falling behind anymore.

Now that I know that ESAs are going to be in Texas I would like every family know about it and take advantage of it. I volunteer with my sister and spread the word wherever I go. I want children go to a school where they get high quality education, with family values, and the attention they deserve. No more children falling behind, bullied or exposed to drugs and threatens. Children deserve to be happy and love their school.

What motivates me?
The belief that every child learns differently and should have the option to choose a school that best fits their unique needs, interests, and learning style.
The hope that competition among schools will drive overall improvements in education quality, innovation, and responsiveness to students’ needs.
Ensuring that all families, regardless of income or location, have access to high-quality education options.

To fellow advocates:
Don’t give up. Keep fighting for your children and their future. Spread the word about this amazing program, its benefits and importance. Share your personal stories and always think that it is children we are fighting for. not institutions or unions.
