My son Larenz is very intelligent, a fast learner, and always helpful, especially with my other six children.
We chose this school based on its grade and by word of mouth recommendations. The school also offered opportunities like foreign language classes and team sports, which Larenz loves. We liked the small classroom sizes, and that the teachers are able to notice and teach each child. This is important to me because in public schools Larenz wasn’t succeeding to the best of his abilities.
One of the ways school choice has helped our children receive a better education and become a closer family unit is because the charter school they attend together is K-8. They are able to enjoy spending more time together, teaching each other and talking about what they learned that day or week.
“I would like more families to have the privilege of school choice because this program offers opportunities that we didn’t think were available to us.”
I would like more families to have the privilege of school choice because this program offers opportunities that we didn’t think were available to us. What I would say to parents is, just try it, you never know what education opportunities might be available for your families.
School choice programs mean bringing families, children and parents closer together and giving children a better learning opportunity. By expanding their education options, kids can be the best they can be.
