While I might not have a large income an ESA still gives me the ability to put my child in a school of my choice that will give my girl a great education that my local school district can’t currently provide. Parents aren’t going to feel as geographically locked-in to their school district and that’s good for parents and children. It gives parents a better option today and hopefully creates a healthy competition for schools to do better by their students.
Every child is different, every school is different, and each school tends to cater to slightly different things depending on their philosophy. That is something everyone should be on board with- giving a child the opportunity to thrive. Anyone who has raised more than one child knows you can raise them in the same household, the exact same way, with the same set of rules; but each kid can be vastly different. That is why these programs are so important.
